My name is Velia Cruz, I am your child’s K–2 Life Skills teacher for the 2026–2027 school year! This is my second year teaching Life Skills, and I am passionate about helping every student learn, grow, and reach their fullest potential. My previous experience working with individuals with disabilities has given me a deeper understanding of the importance of meeting each person where they are, recognizing their unique strengths and needs, and celebrating their growth along the way. I strive to create a warm, loving, positive, and inclusive classroom where every child feels safe, valued, supported, and loved for exactly who they are. I believe every milestone—big or small—is worth celebrating, and I am honored to partner with my students and their families as we build confidence, independence, meaningful connections, and lifelong skills together.
