Ms. Pruski ~ First Grade ~ LOLC 113
Welcome to our School Family!!!
I am excited to be working with you and your child this year. I am in my ninth year of teaching and have experience in kindergarten through third grade. I am an animal lover, avid reader and love to teach phonics! I have been in Rockport for 3 years now and enjoy fishing and the small town atmosphere. I recently got engaged and completed my Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Educational Leadership.
IMPORTANT Information to help you and your child be successful:
Meals: Breakfast and lunch are free this year. Students will eat breakfast in the cafeteria upon arrival at school. Students that arrive late and need to eat breakfast will get a breakfast bag and eat in the classroom.
Our class will eat lunch from 11:15 – 11:45 a.m. in the cafeteria.
Our school day: Instruction in our classroom with begin at 7:30 with announcements and our Family Circle Meeting, where we will connect with one another and begin building relationships in our classroom. At this time will also get ourselves ready for a day of learning.
BUS TAGS: If your child is a bus rider, please remember to send bus tags back every day. It is important to keep the bus tag safe and visible for the bus driver to keep your child safe. The bus drivers will let us know when we can tie the bus tag on the backpack.
CAR RIDERS: Once the gate opens, please follow the line, stay in your vehicle and someone will help your child into the vehicle. Please make sure your car rider tag is visible to the people working in the car rider line.
Backpacks: Please send a backpack every day to school. It is helpful for students to have a place to put their hard work and take home to show you. Please check your child’s backpack daily for important communication from school, which will be in their folder. Please send a change of clothes with your child daily.
COMMUNICATION: Please know that communication between school and families is important. I will be contacting you during the first couple of weeks to let you know how things are going. Please contact me with any questions, concerns and/or positive things, I will reply as soon as I get a chance. And PLEASE join our ClassDojo!
