Mrs. Lisa Saldivar
President Harry Truman once said, “Not all readers are leaders, but all leaders are readers.” I could not agree more! I was born at Dyess US Air Force Base while my father served and retired from the US Air Force. I spent most of my early life in North Texas. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of North Texas where I also earned certificates in mediation, arbitration and workplace ADR (alternative dispute resolutions). I have been teaching since 2000 when I started several long-term substitute assignments in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area, and started teaching full time in 2009 with a focus on 2nd and 3rd grades.
I have been married 37 years to my husband, Rudy, and we have two incredible sons. Rudy III works for a premier game developer in Irvine, CA with his beautiful bride, Samantha, a yoga instructor and their adorable dogs Daisy and Lotus. Sebastian is creating an environmental company and his beautiful wife, Samantha, is a LT in the US Navy as a pilot. I am a lifetime member of the PTA, love reading, collect scented candles, taking long baths, gardening and enjoy living the Salt Life!
I believe that every child can succeed! I hope to instill a love of learning in every student!
